Raising money for our new club house

We have a great group of parents who help us in fund raising for Southbourne Surf Life Saving.

In the past they have put on BBQ’s, manned the local Teddy Bear stall in the local pleasure gardens, organised skittle evenings, & ran half & full marathons for the club. But the most popular fund raising scheme at the moment is providing hot chocolate drinks after beach training, with lashings of squirty cream & marshmallows on top to warm us up! Yum Yum.

We are always looking out for new ideas, & always hoping that someone from a large corporate organisation visits us, & see’s what an awesome community spirited club we are, & will support & sponsor us.

Recently we won the area NatWest Community Force Project scheme, which has enabled us to secure the use of our Inshore Rescue Boat for this summer season, & purchase new rescue boards for our beach patrols. We would like to thank everyone who voted for us in this project.

New club house project

Our next BIG PROJECT is getting funding to build our NEW Club House.

New club house project

Our fund raising & public awareness of this project started on New Year’s Eve 2011 with a Fun Day down on the beach with demonstrations of sea rescues, & a visit from Solent Coastguard’s Helicopter. A big thank you goes to the “Evening Echo” for covering this event, & M.C.A. for tasking their helicopter to the event.

We need to raise approximately £120,000; we have the planning permission, but need the funding for the materials & the build.

If you have any fund raising ideas, or would like sponsor us, please contact us here.

Or you can support Southbourne Surf Life Saving by texting SURF16 then the amount to 70070. Thank You
